Every body is designed to move, but the repetitive pounding of some cardiovascular, aerobic fitness programmes can result in many parts of our bodies feeling sore, and many of us ignore these aches and pains, these warnings, often resulting in injury.
Being aware of our bodies, and their rhythms, is vitally important - if we truthfully want to live healthy, happy lives, we need our bodies to guide us.
tRuthful rhythms is about encouraging you to listen to the rhythms of your body, to be aware of how your body feels as it moves, the impact this can have on your wellbeing, and the transformative power of holistic movement, in this case Nia, and her gentler sister, Moving to Heal.

Nia borrows from different movement forms, bringing mindfulness to our movement. In Nia, we say 'through movement we find health', because we know how movement and dance can heal our bodies, minds and spirits.
In Nia, we do not believe in the 'no pain, no gain' philosophy; instead, it is all about pleasurable movement. Through the practice of Nia, you are encouraged to move mindfully, paying attention to your body, and moving in your body's way.
It is also important to keep our brains in good, working order. Ageless Grace, described as Timeless Fitness For The Body & Brain, is a ‘brain health’ programme, based on neuroplasticity – Neuroplasticity researchers often say that “neurons that fire together wire together,” which essentially means that when your brain is activated in a certain pattern, it becomes easier for your brain to fall into that pattern again in the future. The more you practice a given skill, the better you get at that skill.
The brain has the ability to restructure itself, to modify its connections or re-wire itself throughout our lives, and this is vitally important into old age – research has shown that, for example, when one part of the brain is damaged, such as the area of the left hemisphere that controls speech, the right hemisphere of the brain may “pick up” some of the language abilities that were thought lost.
The Ageless Grace exercises focus on the healthy longevity of the body and the mind, and are based on everyday movements that are natural and organic. In Ageless Grace we say, 'It's never too late to begin. It's never too early to start!'
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
